OUR BELIEFS

The Bible:

We believe the whole Bible to be the inspired and infallible Word of God.  We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by the Spirit of God to write the very words of Scripture.  Therefore, we believe the Bible is without error.

Jesus:

We believe in His divine nature, His saving purpose and His role as Savior and Lord in the lives of those who believe in Him.  We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful man (John 1:1-2, 14; Luke 1:35). We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His death on a cross (Romans 3:24; 1 Peter 2:24; Eph. 1:7; 1 Peter 1:3-5).  We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ ascended into Heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God where He fulfills ministry of representative, intercessor and advocate.

 

The Hope:

We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on a cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin through the free gift of grace.  We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin.  Therefore, God freely offers salvation by grace to those who place their faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ as payment for their sin.
